Marie Anne – sound artist

Solace: a source of comfort and reassurance, the act of seeking this state.

This performance attempts to find a path to solace, both for the musician and the audience. Understanding the soundscape that inhabits others allows us to reflect on our own, to mineralize ourselves there, sheltered from the end of the world.

This work was composed with the aim of being performed for audiences in retirement homes in collaboration with the non-profit organization Cosimu.

Solace : terme anglais signifiant une source de réconfort, d’apaisement, l’action d’aller vers cet état. Cette performance tente de trouver un chemin vers le solace, autant pour la musicienne que pour le public. Comprendre le paysage sonore qui habite autrui permet de se refléter dans le sien, pour s’y minéraliser à l’abri de la fin du monde.

Cette oeuvre a été composée dans le but d’être jouée auprès des publics en maison de retraite en collaboration avec l’OBNL Cosimu.
